Kris’tina Ackerman
Senior Associate, Grants & Operations
Kris’tina Ackerman is the Senior Associate, Grants & Operations at the Melanoma Research Alliance. She provides logistical and business support across the organization with particular emphasis on human resources, finances, and facilities.
Before joining MRA, she served in a variety of research positions at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), operations coordinator at the Institute of International Education (IIE), and she served as an English Assistant in Madrid, Spain. She is passionate about increasing equity, representation, and language parity.
Kris’tina earned her Master of International Studies, concentrating on Latin America and Development, and her Bachelor of Sociology with a Minor in Spanish from Morgan State University. Outside of the office, Kristina enjoys taking care of her many plants, petting her dog, and practicing arts and crafts.
